I am finally able to upload mass quantities of photos so here´s a quick selection of Lima. Click here for the full set if your so inclined. I´m letting the upload program run overnight so there should be plenty more photos on Flickr by the time you are reading this.
Here´s a rule that´s never followed...

Aaron consults one of travel guides, without which we´d all be hopelessly lost.

The San Francisco Cathedral, home of Saints, con artists and pigeons.

The malls here are all outdoors and usually crowded with people, especially at night.

I still can't get over how cool some things look in Spanish.

When this squigy boy first came up to me I thought that he wanted some change, or maybe even my camera. It turns out that he actually wanted a photo of himself, as I guess he does not have many. The email to him is on its way!

This photo would be uneventful if it wasn´t for the sign. It looks like this guy is a notary public.

Here´s the lounge at our hostel in central Lima. The building dates back to colonial times and at one point was a mansion. Now it serves as a backpacker´s hostel for the small price of about $5 Canadian per a night.

For the sake of contrast, here is your average looking settlement in the desert about 45 minutes outside of the city.
